Cat lovers in Singapore are having it hard due to Singapore HDB’s strict regulations on owning a pet, but worry not. If you live around the Bugis Junction area, here are five cat cafes you can visit to finally satisfy your inner cat lady’s needs.
The Cat Cafe
The Cat Cafe focuses on providing an environment where cat lovers can enjoy a cup of coffee with friends and play with the furry cats. They serve freshly brewed coffee, tea and freshly baked pastries. The Cat Cafe is home to about 15-20 furry cats and what’s best, they advocate the rescue and adoption of cats by having only adopted and rescued stray cats in their cafe. Their a-meow-zing cats are ranged from tabbies, mixed Siamese, a cross of Maine Coon and a domestic longhair and many more.
Meomi Cat Cafe
Meomi Cat Cafe is a residence to seven beautiful cats, a variety of pedigreed kitties ranging from a ragamuffin (Frowny), an American Curl (Curley), a Maine Coon (Coo) and a Munchkin named Mario. The space is relatively small compared to cat cafes which are fitting since the cafe only has seven cats. Thus, you have higher chances of getting intimate with a cat. This place is well-known for its friendly owner who will greet customers and introduce each cat and their own individual personality. The cafe has a cosy ambience with tatami carpets on the floor for you to play with the cats and free wifi is also provided.
Cat Cafe Neko no Niwa
Focusing on the advocacy of cat adoption, Cat Cafe Neko no Niwa is the first cat cafe in Singapore home to 13 friendly cats. The owner is inspired by cat cafes she came across during her travel to Japan and decided to implement the concept here as well. Just like other cat cafes, they serve affordable pastries and drinks while customers can play with the felines. The cats here ranges from tabbies, Khao Manee, a cross of Tuxide, Maine Coon and Ragdoll and a lot more of other breeds!
